SIRENS
COMMUNITY PROGRAMS
In-School
Fitness Programs

In 2002, the
Sacramento Sirens players piloted an in-school program on fitness
and athleticism in elementary schools. Beginning in March 2003,
Sirens athletes returned to visit both elementary and junior high
school programs. The "In-School Fitness Program"
emphasizes cooperation and competition for all children,
especially those at risk for obesity. Click
here to read more about the classroom presentations and some
of the key points children will learn from the Sirens players.
